Facility codes, detailed T&A, automatic reports

March 1, 2022

We start year 2022 with a fresh release of CredoID version 4.7.

Apart from convenience improvements, such as creating seamless regional setting based on operator‘s locale, or adding double-swipe automation for intrusion alarm rming and disarming, we focused primarily on partner requests for features and functionality.

Facility code support

We have added Facility code support to CredoID. Originally, facility codes were additional data bits, meant to distinguish the cards sold to different clients and avoid possible card number duplication.

Technically, they represent nothing more than a larger number of uniques combinations. However, when used cleverly, facility codes still  have a wider application. Usage of facility codes enhances the access control system in the following ways:

A good example of facility code benefit is a more resilient operation of HID Aero X100 series modules. When facility code use is enabled, the modules can continue operating the door access based on facility code, even if the connection to the main X1100 unit is not available.

An article here provides a thorough explanation of Facility codes and card formats. All of those are supported by CredoID. In CredoID v 4.7, Facility codes can be enabled under General settings.

Improved Time & Attendance details, periodic reports

We have listened to customer feedback and added detailed multiple Clock-In and Clock-Out zone support, which is especially useful for improving work time calculation.

Starting from CredoID version 4.7, you can designate different areas for summing-up work time, and others for excluding it. For example, you may set that work time only starts when a person enters production facility, and ends when they leave, e.g., to a resting zone or a dressing room. Of course, you should already have exit readers already installed at the door, so that you have a clear way of distinguishing between area entry and exit.

Once you create a report template, it becomes available under Automation tab for generating the reports periodically. Therefore, you no longer have to go over manual report creation procedure at the end of every week or month – it is now enough to set it once, and CredoID will output the required report in PDF or CSV format when you need it.

In addition to extended Time and Attendance reports, we have introduced automated generation of Event reports.
