Time & Attendance

Time & attendance registration terminal

The main requirement of any Time & Attendance system is effectiveness. The system must be simple enough, convenient to use for employees and supervisors, and provide multiple ways to reduce and control costs for the company. If a system takes time to understand, requires constant maintenance and produces complex reports, it defeats its own purpose.

SimpleID software provides two easy ways to collect and process time and attendance data:

1. Quick overview. All the required data is collected from an access control system. No time-clocks need to be installed. Users do not have to remember to clock in or out. By analyzing events from access control readers and comparing the data to the schedules assigned to users, the system calculates late arrivals, early departures and approximate time that employees spend inside the office. Reports may be generated automatically and emailed to supervisors for review. This type of approach is perfect for companies that have liberal policies regarding attendance, yet want to keep an eye on the situation, to make sure that the employees do not abuse the trust.

2. Detailed reports. The data is collected not only from an access control system but also from designated time clocks. Users have an ability to specify when leaving the office on work-related duties. Since the system tracks each entry and exit the results are extremely accurate. Supervisors can easily see if coffee, smoke and lunch breaks do not take longer than allowed. SimpleID generates reports in MS Excel format, which makes it easy for personnel managers to make manual corrections and use the results for payroll calculation.

Reasons to consider a time & attendance system:

  • Eliminates manual data entry. Instead of filling out time sheets, employees can focus on their duties.
  • Eliminates errors in calculations.
  • Removes significant work load from personnel managers and allowes them to be more productive.
  • Prevents or elmininates cheating on time reports, especially if biometric readers are used.
  • Knowing that the entries and exists are being registrered, employees tend to behave in a more disciplined manner.
  • Provides valuable information to the top management: shows excessive overtime and leaves of absence, helps notice perspecive or profitable departments that may be understaffed, or overstaffed inefficient departments.
